At a house in Rosmalen, Repra B.V. has supplied fiberglass reinforcement for a high-quality sand-cement screed. This floor is equipped with underfloor heating, which requires an extra stable and durable construction. Therefore a double reinforcement layer was chosen:
- Carpet pad: a sturdy Ø6 net with 150×150 mm mesh, for a solid base and dispersion of forces.
- Top layer: a finer mesh of Ø4 with a mesh size of 100×100 mm, to minimize cracking due to heat exchanges.
This construction not only ensures a stable floor, but also extends the life of the sand-cement screed, especially when combined with underfloor heating.
